Belajar DDC dengan Game Online Perpustakaan, Seru!!

Game ini bernama “Order in the Library” pertama kali saya lihat game ini di Blog http://www.nitrostreets.blogspot.com milik kawan saya Andika dari Univ Yarsi.
Game ini sangat menarik Mas Bro, kita bisa bermain sambil belajar sorting, shelving. reordering. Secara gak langsung kita juga belajar memahami struktur Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) yang biasa digunakan untuk pengklasifikasian dalam perpustakaan.
Permainan ini sangat sederhana dengan menggunakan call number sebagai permasalahannya (DDC untuk textbook dan alfabet untuk novel/fiksi). Kita cukup mengklik dan geser (Click and drag) buku ke posisi yang tepat di dalam rak.  It’s absolutely fabulous game for me.
Selain bisa untuk mengedukasi pemustaka, alat ini biasanya saya pakai untuk mengedukasi anak magang di perpustakaan. Mereka pasti semangat karena tugas pertama mereka internship adalah main game sampe tamat dan paham. Sambil beberapa kali diberi tugas “beneran” untuk shelving dan mencarikan buku untuk pemustaka (sambil diawasi hasilnya). Sejauh ini berjalan lancar, siswa magang yang notabene merupakan digital native terlihat lancar tanpa harus dikuliahin. Lha wong masih SMA /SMK masa mau dikuliahin Ilmu Perpustakaan.
Bagaimana status game ini, Apakah bebas digunakan secara gratis atau game berbayar? Sebelumnya sudah pernah googling untuk cari info mengenai game ini agar tidak terbentur copyright. Sepertinya statusnya gratis dan akan fine-fine aja. But if this game not a freeware, please notice me.
